September 2024 was a month of BSc and MSc thesis defences at QPL. Congratulations to Natalia, Antoni and Michał C. for succesfully defending their Bachelor theses and to Janek for a stellar defence of his Master’s thesis!
At the beginning of September, Michał Karpiński and Michał Mikołajczyk participated in the Sympozjum Techniki Laserowej (Laser Technology Symposium).Michał Mikołajczyk was awarded the second prize in the prof. Zbigniew Puzewicz competition for his oral presentation. Congratulations!
From 23 to 28 June 2024 we hosted the Summer School on Mid-Infrared Quantum Sensing and Technologies. More than 80 participants, including 18 excellent lecturers, more than 50 posters – this was an exciting week full of learning and networking. Check miraqls.fuw.edu.pl for more details.

This summer we have two summer students: Karol from Wrocław University of Science and Technology, on a Candela Foundation scholarship, and Doğukan from Turkey. We are also enjoying a visit of Prof. Brian Smith from the University of Oregon (USA).
