Great news for Christmas 2020: we have won a 1-year funded extension of the First Team project! We’ll be working on proof-of-concept applications of quantum photonic interfaces with our new commercial research partner. https://bit.ly/37K5jxB
Filip Sośnicki won the best poster prize at the XLVI Extraordinary Congress of Polish Physicists on the 100th anniversary of the Polish Physical Society for the poster entitled “Phase-only shaping of single-photon pulses”! Please click to access the poster abstract and the poster itself. Congratulations to Filip and the other …
Congratulations to Filip Sośnicki for winning a Preludium grant by the National Science Centre! Filip will realize and characterize high resolution measurements of the time of arrival of single photons using time lenses. More details are available here and here.
The NLPQT infrastructural project is finally kicking off. NLPQT involves 7 Polish research institutes and more than 30 MEuro equipment funding from which 0.7 MEuro will go towars our lab. We will establish experimental testbeds for quantum communication and quantum networks. With our partners from the Poznan Supercomupting and Networking …
Michał Karpiński was invited to write a News&Views article covering the work of Prof. Hong X. Tang and co-workers on electro-opto-mechanical phase modulators! The work was just published in the May issue of Nature Photonics! Click here to check it out!
We are starting a new research project funded by the First Team program of the Foundation for Polish Science: “Phase-only shaping of quantum light pulses for applications in quantum technologies”. The goal of the project is to develop low-loss low-noise tools for modifying flying single-photon pulses for application in quantum …
